Placements24 is seeking a proactive Chemical Engineer to provide essential Operations Support at their Paarl facility. This role ensures the safe, efficient day-to-day operation of chemical production units, acting as a key technical resource for troubleshooting and optimization.

You will monitor performance, implement continuous improvement, and collaborate with production teams to maintain output, quality, and safety, contributing to the plant's long-term success and strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 2–4 years of experience in an operational or process engineering role within a chemical manufacturing environment.
• Solid understanding of fundamental chemical engineering principles.
• Experience with process monitoring tools and data analysis.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond effectively to operational demands.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a plant team.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate technical support to production teams to resolve operational challenges.
• Monitor plant performance and key operating parameters, identifying deviations and implementing corrective actions.
• Participate in process hazard analyses and assist in implementing safety recommendations.
