About the Role

Our client is a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer dedicated to producing high-quality medicines. We are seeking a skilled Chemical Process Engineer to join our vital team in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. This role is integral to the design, development, validation, and optimization of chemical processes used in the production of pharmaceutical ingredients and products. You will be responsible for ensuring that all processes meet stringent regulatory requirements (e.g., GMP), are highly efficient, and are safe to operate. This is a site-based position requiring close collaboration with production, quality assurance, and R&D departments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in pharmaceutical process engineering, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to quality and compliance. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and scale-up chemical processes for pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Optimize existing processes to improve yield, reduce cycle times, and enhance product quality.

• Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other regulatory standards.

• Conduct process hazard analyses and implement safety measures.

Requirements
