Placements24 is seeking a Chemical Process Engineer for a large-scale chemical production plant in Vereeniging. You will optimize manufacturing operations, troubleshoot process upsets, and drive improvements to efficiency, safety, and quality across the site.
The role requires a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering and 5–7 years of experience in process engineering or operations, with strong knowledge of unit operations, process control, and safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering is required.
- 5-7 years of experience in chemical process engineering or operations.
- Strong knowledge of unit operations, process control and safety procedures.
- Experience with process simulation and data analysis tools is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and optimize plant operations for efficiency and yield.
- Troubleshoot process upsets and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime.
- Develop and execute process validation studies and optimization projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to sustain performance.
- Document process changes, operating procedures and performance reports.
