Job summary

Cashbuild Limited is hiring a Forklift Operator to operate and maintain the forklift safely and provide excellent customer service in-store. You will assist with merchandising, pricing, and loading customer purchases, while upholding safety standards and housekeeping in your area.

The role requires grade 12 or equivalent experience, and a valid forklift license. Shift work, weekends, and public holidays are expected as part of operations.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or 1 year related work experience.
• Ability to communicate in English and the dominant language spoken in the geographical area where the position is available.
• Ability to perform basic calculations accurately.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and Public Holidays.
• Must be physically fit to operate a forklift.
• Must have a valid forklift license.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge all Customers and determine their needs.
• Advise Customers correctly on product.
• Assist Customer with any product queries and complaints; add on sales (e.g., paint supplies).
• Ensure efficient customer service by loading purchases without delays.
• Ensure purchases are loaded carefully without damaging goods or customer's vehicle.
• Advise on additional services: delivery, bulk deposits, etc.
• Follow merchandising standards and planograms.
• Maintain housekeeping and safe working area.
