Job summary

MyCareerCraft in Durban North is seeking a reliable forklift driver for a permanent role. You will operate a forklift to move, stack and count stock, adhering to OHSA rules and company safety policies.

Candidates should have Grade 10, a valid forklift certificate, 2–3 years' experience, the ability to read safety instructions, and a willingness to work shifts, overtime, and weekends. You will help with inventory checks and maintain a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• Grade 10 or Matric; Grade 12 is better.
• Valid Forklift Operator Certificate per OHSA requirements.
• 2–3 years forklift operating experience.
• Ability to read and understand safety rules and procedures.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.
• Willing to work shifts, overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate the forklift.
• Load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials using the forklift or other equipment.
• Check the equipment before and after use to ensure it works well.
• Report any problems or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
• Handle and store goods properly to avoid damage.
• Keep the work area clean, safe, and organized.
• Follow safety standards and OHSA procedures.
• Assist with inventory checks and cycle counts as needed.
• Fill out documents for stock movement and delivery.
• Follow OHSA Act and related regulations.
• Wear appropriate PPE at all times.
