Job summary

Placements24 in Nelspruit is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to join a busy workshop. You will diagnose, maintain and repair a wide range of vehicles, ensuring safety and reliability for customers in Mpumalanga.

Ideal candidates have dealership/workshop experience, strong mechanical/electrical knowledge, and a valid driver's license; ASE certification is highly preferred. Training and development opportunities are offered in a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

• Proven automotive technician experience, preferably in a dealership or workshop.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical vehicle systems.
• proficient with diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, in a fast-paced workshop.
• A valid driver's license and ASE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections and diagnostics to identify repairs.
• Conduct routine maintenance: oil changes, tire rotations, filters.
• Repair or replace worn engine, brakes, suspension components.
• Diagnose and repair electrical systems and electronic controls.
• Use diagnostic software/tools to pinpoint issues and verify repairs.
