Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Community Development, Social Sciences, Public Relations, or related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in community development, outreach, or related role within the Community & Social Care sector.
• Proven track record of planning and executing community engagement programs and events.
• Excellent interpersonal, networking, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
• Proficiency in digital communication tools, social media platforms, and basic graphic design.
• Experience in volunteer management is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive community engagement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Organize and lead community outreach events, workshops, and awareness campaigns in Centurion.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, local organizations, schools, and residents.
• Identify community needs and gaps in services, proposing innovative solutions and project ideas.
• Facilitate collaboration between community stakeholders and our client’s services.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively for all engagement initiatives.
• Develop communication materials, including newsletters, social media content, and presentations, to promote engagement activities.
• Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to support community projects.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of engagement programs, reporting on outcomes and lessons learned.
• Act as a key liaison between the community and the organization, ensuring clear and consistent communication channels are maintained throughout Gauteng.
• Champion the organization's mission and values within the Centurion community.
