Placements24 in Vereeniging, Gauteng seeks a proactive Community Outreach Coordinator to lead engagement initiatives with local residents, groups and stakeholders. You will design, implement and evaluate outreach plans to promote access to our services and strengthen community trust.

The role requires strong communication, project management and independent collaboration, plus knowledge of local communities.

Formación

• An qualification in Community Development, Social Sciences, Public Relations, or related field is preferred.
• Experience in community outreach, engagement, event planning, or related role.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships with stakeholders at various levels.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Proficiency in standard office software and social media platforms.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and execute outreach plans to engage Vereeniging communities.
• Organize events, workshops, information sessions, and public forums.
• Build relationships with community leaders, local organizations, schools, and government representatives.
• Represent the organization at community meetings, fairs, and other public events.
• Identify community needs and inform program development or service delivery adjustments.
• Develop outreach materials, including flyers, brochures, social media content, and presentations.
• Recruit and coordinate volunteers for outreach activities as needed.
• Track outreach efforts and collect data to measure effectiveness and impact.
• Provide feedback to the organization on community perspectives and emerging issues.
• Ensure consistent and positive communication between the organization and the community.
