Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Architectural Draughtsperson for a contract role in Centurion, Gauteng. The successful candidate will translate design concepts into precise drawings, supporting architects and designers on a range of projects.

Key responsibilities include producing detailed CAD drawings, updating BIM models, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards. The role requires AutoCAD proficiency and ideally Revit or BIM experience, with a hands-on presence in the Centurion office.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Certificate in Architectural Technology or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience as an Architectural Draughtsperson or similar role.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit or BIM software is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed architectural drawings (floor plans, elevations, sections, details) using CAD.
• Prepare and update BIM models for project documentation.
• Assist architects and designers in design presentations and documentation.
• Ensure drawings are accurate, to scale, and adhere to standards.
• Coordinate with external consultants to incorporate their information into architectural drawings.
• Maintain organized archives of project drawings and documentation.
• Conduct site measurements and verify existing conditions for design development.
• Assist in the preparation of tender and construction documentation packages.
• Revise drawings based on design changes or feedback.
