Job summary

City Logistics in Durban seeks a proactive CCTV Team Lead to head the Risk team's CCTV monitoring efforts. You will supervise a 24/7 surveillance operation, drive investigations and ensure compliance with security policies while protecting assets and personnel.

The role requires leadership experience, strong reporting and investigation skills, and hands-on CCTV/Video Management platform know-how in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Minimum 3 years' CCTV, Security, Risk or Loss Prevention experience.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience working with CCTV systems and video management platforms.
• Strong report-writing and investigation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the CCTV monitoring team to ensure effective 24/7 surveillance coverage.
• Monitor CCTV operations to identify security risks, suspicious activities and operational irregularities.
• Coordinate and support investigations relating to theft, losses, damages, misconduct and security incidents.
• Review CCTV footage and compile detailed incident reports.
• Ensure all CCTV systems are fully operational and report technical faults or maintenance requirements.
• Maintain CCTV records, evidence and documentation in accordance with company procedures.
• Liaise with Operations, Transport, HR and Risk stakeholders regarding incidents and investigations.
• Ensure compliance with company security policies, procedures and legal requirements.
• Coach, develop and manage the performance of CCTV Operators.
• Identify security trends and recommend preventative measures to reduce risk.
• Conduct regular audits and quality checks on CCTV monitoring activities.
• Support branch and regional loss-prevention initiatives.
