Job summary

The role requires attention to detail, strong communication and the ability to maintain focus during extended shifts in a high-pressure control room environment, with weekend and holiday work as needed.

Qualifications

• Grade 12/Matric certificate is required.
• PSIRA Grade A/B registration is mandatory.
• Valid CCTV and Control Room certification.
• First Aid and Fire Fighting training.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a Control Room or CCTV Monitoring environment.

Responsibilities

• Actively monitor live camera feeds and surveillance platforms.
• Identify and respond to security incidents and suspicious activities.
• Coordinate appropriate responses, preserve and gather evidence.
• Ensure incidents are managed in accordance with SOPs.
• Maintain concentration in a fast-paced control room; monitor camera health.

Position: CCTV Controller

Fidelity Security Group (Pty) Ltd is looking for a vigilant, professional and service-oriented CCTV Controller to join our team.

Purpose of the Position

The CCTV Controller is responsible for protecting company sites, personnel, assets, resources, and operations through the effective monitoring of CCTV, surveillance, and electronic security systems.

The incumbent will actively monitor live camera feeds and surveillance platforms, identify and respond to security incidents, suspicious activities and operational risks, coordinate appropriate responses, preserve and gather evidence, and ensure incidents and emergencies are managed in accordance with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

The role requires a highly vigilant, professional, and service-oriented individual capable of maintaining concentration for extended periods while operating within a fast-paced control room environment. The CCTV Controller must also possess a strong understanding of CCTV technology, camera health monitoring, and technical fault identification.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric Certificate.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a Control Room or CCTV Monitoring environment.
