About the Role

Our client, a leading event and hospitality firm operating in Vereeniging, Gauteng , is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Catering Service Director. This senior leadership role is responsible for the overall strategic direction and operational management of all catering services. The Director will oversee event execution, client relations, staff management, and financial performance, ensuring the delivery of exceptional culinary and service experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in high-volume catering, strategic planning capabilities, and a deep understanding of market trends. Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in the hospitality and catering industry, with at least 5 years in a senior management or directorial role.
• Proven track record of success in managing large-scale catering operations and driving significant revenue growth.
• Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and business acumen.
• In-depth knowledge of culinary trends, event planning, and service excellence.
• Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, P&L responsibility, and cost control.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under duress.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as dictated by business needs in Vereeniging, Gauteng .
