Job summary

Pick n Pay is seeking a friendly cashier to process transactions at the till, handle cash, give refunds, balance the till, and upsell products where appropriate.

You will maintain a clean work environment, respond to customer queries politely, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, while following security procedures and hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 and computer literacy required.
• Ability to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage the float.
• Operate the till and scanner correctly and speedily when checking out the customer’s purchases.
• Receive and process all forms of payment and transactions during checkout.
• Prevent wastage/shrinkage/damages.
• Maintain hygiene, housekeeping and safe working standards.
• Adhere to and maintain security procedures.
• Interact with customers and respond to their queries in a courteous manner.
