The position requires Grade 12 (Math/Accounting), 1–3 years in cash handling, strong numerical skills, and a safety-conscious mindset. Applicants must be South African citizens and ready to work shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 certification with Mathematics or Accounting.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in a teller or cash-handling environment is preferred.
• Strong understanding of basic financial principles.
• Proficiency in computer literacy and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team under high-pressure conditions.
• Flexibility regarding working hours, including availability for night shifts and weekends.
• Physical capability to lift and move heavy containers and trolleys.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a security-conscious mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage the reception and intake of all currency bags and containers.
• Distribute assets to designated processing areas.
• Ensure all receipting and documentation are completed accurately.
• Verify that all daily work is processed and cleared within the internal systems.
• Validate the integrity of information provided on all cash bags.
• Adhere to company policies, safety protocols, and procedures.
• Maintain secure and timely processing of customer deposits.
• Assist in the preparation of customer coin and cash orders.
• Operate high-speed currency processing equipment.
• Identify and report cash discrepancies for prompt resolution.
• Sort and verify bulk currency and coin from banks and customers.
• Balance transaction totals and bulk funds.
