Job summary

SBV South Africa in Mthatha seeks a diligent Cash Handler/Graduate to manage deposits, cash processing, and reconciliation tasks. You will verify and balance daily deposits, sort notes and coins, and ensure compliance with SBV policies and SOPs.

Qualifications

Not participated in the National Certificate: Banking previously.
Grade 12 with Maths/Literacy.
Age 18-29.

Responsibilities

Receive deposits and update on the applicable systems.
Comply with all policies and procedures to eliminate any possible risks to the company and the customer.
Check container/Bag for damages or interferences and report anomalies to Team Controller.
Acknowledge container/bag on applicable system and process deposits per bank SLAs and SOPs.
Sort deposits/notes for FDP/ACDP on the same day within cut off times and balance deposits.
Perform reconciliation of notes, transfers to vaults, and end-of-day balancing to SOPs.
Process desktop deposits, ensure deposits are kept separate per customer and balanced on the applicable system.
Process bulk coin deposits, verify money and balance per client deposit.
Validate transactions linked to system integrations and notify client services of unlinked accounts.
