Job summary

SBV South Africa in Johannesburg is seeking a cash processing professional to receive deposits, process them on the bank system, and ensure accurate note handling in accordance with SBV policies.

You will reconcile end-of-day balances, sort notes, handle coins, and report discrepancies to the Team Controller, with a focus on accuracy, speed, and compliance with SLAs. This is a temporary, on-site role based in Ormonde.

Qualifications

• 6 months previous cashier/teller experience (advantageous).
• Grade 12 with Math’s Literacy.

Responsibilities

• Receive deposits and update on the applicable systems.
• Comply with all policies and procedures to eliminate any possible risks to the company and the customer.
• Process all deposits in line with the agreed upon banks SLAs and SOPs on the applicable system.
• Prep workstation accurately for effective and efficient note counting.
• Sort all prepped deposits/notes for FDP/ACDP on the same day, within the cut off times.
• Balance per deposit and report differences to the Team Controller.
• End of day balancing/reconciliation of all cash received.
• Perform end of day balance/reconciliation of all cash received.
