Job summary

SBV in Cape Town is seeking a Cash Processor Contractor to support the banknote processing operations in the CBD. You will receive cash deposits, prepare cash on the system, sort notes, and ensure accurate end-of-day balancing in line with SBV SOPs.

The role requires Grade 12 with Maths and no participation in National Certificate Banking. You will work under supervision in a hands-on environment, maintain security, report anomalies, and support ongoing improvements in cash handling processes.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with Maths is required.
• Not participated in National Certificate Banking.

Responsibilities

• Receive deposits and update on the banking system.
• Prepare cash and check for damages; report anomalies.
• Sort notes for FDP/ACDP and balance daily.
• Perform end-of-day balancing and reconciliation.
• Handle cash transfers to vaults and ensure security.
• Maintain equipment readiness and follow SOPs.
