Job summary

Salesworx Durban-based Case Assistant drives medical product sales by engaging with vascular surgeons and interventional radiologists, managing existing accounts, and coordinating stock for theatre lists.

You will handle weekly planning, quotations, and field administration while nurturing relationships and ensuring compliance with policies. Travel within KwaZulu-Natal is required.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree required.
• Medical/marketing qualifications advantageous.
• Experience in medical sales is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sell full product range to healthcare professionals in a professional manner.
• Maintain and grow existing business by building customer relationships.

• In this role,the Case Assistant will use their newly obtained knowledge in the relatedfield, to sell the full range of Cook Peripheral Interventional, CookInterventional Radiology, Cook Embolisation, Angiodynamics Oncology, Getinge,Varian, and Cardionovum products in a professional manner by calling on healthcare professionals and related role players i.e., Vascular surgeons,Interventional Radiologists, Stock Controllers, Theatre staff etc.
• The CaseAssistant will be expected to maintain current business, by creatingrelationships with customers, in the shortest time, and service currentbusiness thereby.
• Maintainingexisting business in the assigned territory;
• Scheduling andattending appointments with existing customers
• Preparing stockfor and attending theatre lists, to service the product related needs of thecustomers;
• Completion ofweekly planner and activity report for submission to direct manager;
• Responsible fornetworking with and managing existing customers;
• Counting andmanagement of consignment stock;
• Requesting andfollowing up on quotations;
• Generaladministration associated with the position.

Administrative Duties:

• Adhere tocredit policies and procedures of the group;
• Maintain alladministrative responsibilities associated with this position; monthlyreporting on marketing activities;
• Ensure allproduct and marketing activities comply with legal and ethical standards;
• Managing allcompany expenses within the marketing budget provided;
• Adhere to anylegal or medical requirements and inform management of changed requirements;
• Submit monthlyreports to management.

Stock Management:

• Assist withstock rotation and slow-moving identification and returns;
• Assist SalesManager with input from the field on stock ordering and give feedback on stockrequirements from the field;
• Management ofconsignment stock allocated to customers on request from Sales Manager;
• Management ofboot stock allocated and rotation of stock when needed to reduce unnecessaryexpiration of products;
• Giving feedbackto Management on consignment stock.

Requirements

Qualifications

• A relevantdegree is a minimum requirement;
• Any medical andmarketing qualifications would be a definite advantage.

Additional Requirements

• Preference willbe given to a candidate residing in the KZN region.
• Own reliablevehicle with travel in the KZN region, even after hours;
• Someone wantingto gain much-needed experience in this Medical Sales Industry;
• Willingness towork hard and long hours when required.

Experience Required

• Medicalexperience during education is a preference and previous experience in asimilar position such as Vascular or any experience in the Medical Industrywould be an advantage;
• Knowledge ofthe target group of customers will be an advantage;
• Computerliteracy and proficiency on MS Office, specifically Excel (level 2 at least)and MS Word is a requirement for this position;
• Clinical andproduct knowledge will be a definite advantage.
