Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Visual Merchandiser or in a similar creative role within retail.
• Strong portfolio showcasing visual merchandising projects.
• Excellent understanding of design principles, color theory and space planning.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of the Cape Town retail landscape is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement captivating in-store visual merchandising displays in line with brand guidelines and seasonal campaigns.
• Create and maintain floor plans, window displays, and in-store signage to maximize product visibility and customer flow.
• Collaborate with the merchandising and marketing teams to align visual strategies with product launches and promotional activities.
• Ensure all visual merchandising elements are executed to the highest standards across all stores in Cape Town and surrounding areas.
• Train and guide store staff on visual merchandising standards and best practices.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with store managers to ensure adequate stock for displays.
• Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform visual strategies.
• Source and manage relationships with external suppliers for display materials and props.
