Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Renewable Energy Project Manager to lead significant energy sector projects in Cape Town. You will manage the full lifecycle from conception to commissioning and drive sustainable energy solutions in the region.

The role requires leadership, strategic planning, and execution capabilities to deliver projects on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of renewable energy projects (solar, wind, etc.), ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timelines.
• Manage all project phases, including site assessment, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning, in close coordination with engineering and construction teams.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, identifying and mitigating potential risks and roadblocks.
• Liaise with clients, government agencies, suppliers, and community representatives to ensure alignment and effective communication.
• Ensure all projects comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies pertinent to the Energy Sector.
• Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment in Cape Town.
