Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Project Manager to lead solar energy development projects in Cape Town. You will manage all phases from conception to commissioning, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and high quality.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, 5+ years in renewable energy project management, and experience with utility-scale solar. Proficiency in MS Project or Primavera P6 is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, with a proven track record in renewable energy.
• Experience managing utility-scale or commercial solar projects; familiarity with South African energy regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end lifecycle of solar energy projects, including site selection, permitting, design, procurement, and construction.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules; ensure milestones are met.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders (contractors, regulators, suppliers).
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
• Oversee contractor performance and ensure adherence to safety regulations and project specifications.
• Report on project progress, financials, and KPIs to senior management.
