Job summary

IDC in South Africa seeks a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) to lead financial modelling and project finance activities across development projects. You will contribute to structuring, feasibility and lifecycle governance to maximise developmental and financial outcomes.

The role involves active participation in project development stages, risk assessment, and stakeholder engagement to support IDC objectives and funding decisions.

Qualifications

• CA(SA) is required.
• Anadditional business qualification would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project financial models (incl income statement, balance sheet and cash flow) using Excel to evaluate project cash flows.
• Provide inputs for optimal financial structuring of projects utilizing project finance principles and IDC's financing instruments.
• Provide inputs to term sheets and co-funding arrangements encompassing equity, debt or hybrid instruments.
• Ensure that projects are structured to facilitate inclusive development and maximize IDC outcomes.
• Participate in the financial evaluation of projects at every Decision Gate of the Project Development Life Cycle.
