Our client is looking for an experienced and commercially astute Finance Manager to take ownership of the organisation’s financial leadership, reporting, governance and strategic financial planning.
This is a high-impact role for a CA(SA) who can operate beyond the numbers - providing meaningful commercial insight, partnering with senior leadership, driving financial performance and helping shape the organisation’s long-term growth strategy.
You will work closely with the CEO, Board and senior management, while leading a finance team and driving improvements across reporting, systems, automation, cash flow, controls and business performance.
We are looking for someone who is commercially minded, strategic and hands‑on, a finance leader who doesn't simply report on what happened, but uses financial information to influence what happens next.

Duties:
- Develop and execute the financial strategy, leading budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning and capital allocation.
- Oversee accurate, timely and compliant financial reporting, ensuring strong IFRS adherence, controls and governance.
- Provide strategic financial insights to the CEO, Board and leadership team to support business and commercial decisions.
- Oversee the full accounting function, including AP, AR, payroll, reconciliations, month-end close and financial processes.
- Lead cash flow forecasting, liquidity, working capital and banking relationships to support financial stability and growth.
- Manage tax, VAT, regulatory compliance and internal/external audit processes across local and international jurisdictions.
- Monitor key financial KPIs, analyse profitability and cost structures, and identify opportunities to improve financial performance.
- Drive ERP improvements, automation, AI adoption and financial reporting solutions to improve efficiency and data visibility.
- Support acquisitions, partnerships and strategic initiatives through financial modelling, due diligence, valuation and commercial analysis.
- Finance Team Leadership – Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing finance team while driving accountability, innovation and continuous process improvement.

Experience:
- Completed CA(SA) qualification is essential.
- 6-8 experience in a financial leadership, commercial finance or similar senior finance role.
- Strong commercial and strategic financial acumen.
- Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
- Strong financial modelling and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience leading and developing finance teams.
- Strong knowledge of financial governance, controls and compliance.
- Exposure to tax, VAT and audit requirements.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems and financial reporting tools.
- A strong interest in automation, AI, process optimisation and digital transformation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to confidently engage with the CEO, Board, investors and non-financial stakeholders.
