Job summary

Abantu Staffing Solutions is seeking a procurement professional in South Africa to source components, manage RFQs and negotiations, and drive cost reductions across automotive suppliers. The role requires a minimum 3 years of purchasing experience and strong Excel/financial analysis skills.

You will present sourcing decisions to committees, manage supplier readiness and tooling, and support production, quality, and logistics issues as part of a cross-functional team.

Qualifications

• Minimum degree/diploma in Purchasing, Logistics, Commerce, Finance, Business Management or a technical qualification.
• 3 years purchasing experience in the automotive or supplier industry.
• Strong negotiation, problem-solving and conflict management skills.
• Advanced computer literacy, especially MS Excel.
• Good understanding of financial analysis, costing, and business/project management.
• German language proficiency is an added advantage.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum Qualifications: Degree/Diploma in Purchasing, Logistics, Commerce, Finance, Business Management or a technical qualification (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Quality, Operations or Production Management)
• Experience: Have a minimum of 3 years purchasing experience in the automotive or supplier industry
• Technical and Behavioural Competencies: Strong experience in Production Components, Electrical harness experience and technical data knowledge would be added advantage Solid negotiation, problem-solving, and conflict management skills Effective communication and presentation abilities across all levels Advanced computer literacy, especially MS Excel Good understanding of financial analysis, costing, and business/project management Strong customer interaction skills German language proficiency is an added advantage
