Job summary

Crew Life at Sea in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Butler for luxury cruise operations. You will greet guests, escort them to their staterooms, and deliver personalized, seamless service aboard the ship.

This role requires 2+ years in luxury hospitality, impeccable grooming, fluent English, and the ability to work evenings/weekends. You will coordinate services, protect guest confidentiality, and help plan exclusive events.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Butler in a luxury hotel or cruise line.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Impeccable grooming and presentation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate guests' needs.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
• Must pass background check and obtain necessary certifications.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

• Provide personalized and attentive service to guests, including but not limited to: unpacking and packing luggage, arranging and serving meals and drinks, and coordinating laundry and dry cleaning services
• Anticipate guests' needs and preferences to provide a seamless and personalized experience
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of staterooms and public areas, including restocking of amenities and supplies
• Ensure the safety and security of guests and their belongings at all times
• Communicate effectively with other crew members to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery
• Assist with the planning and execution of special events and activities for guests
• Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality at all times
