Job summary

CHEP Durban, South Africa is seeking a Business Control Manager to strengthen governance, risk management, and internal control across Logistics and Operations. You will lead standardized control frameworks and engage senior stakeholders.

You will drive risk assessments, ensure spend controls, reconciliations and SOP alignment with CHEP standards, and build centralized data analytics to monitor KRIs and strengthen governance across the SSA network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, supply chain or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ management experience in supply chain, finance, or manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk assessment, and governance principles.
• Proficiency in SAP, Salesforce, BW (Analysis for Excel), and advanced Microsoft Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day financial operations across spend, procurement, and transactional finance.
• Maintain governance by applying policies and controls across contract admin and invoice‑to‑pay.
• Oversee master data accuracy, reconciliations, and automated expense processing.
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain and Shared Services to resolve issues.
