Job summary

Firstrand Bank Limited is seeking a Business Analyst to review, evaluate, and analyse user needs to document system requirements and create system specifications that drive system development and implementation of business objectives.

The role involves identifying risks, managing costs within budget, delivering on cost and operational targets, and building strong customer relationships while ensuring service excellence aligned with organisational values.

• Identify, control and elevate potential risks which may lead to increased costs
• Manage costs or expenses within approved budget to achieve cost efficiencies
• Deliver against operational and cost targets
• Prioritise resource allocation to minimise and reduce wastage
• Deliver customer experience excellence aligned to Organisational values and service standards
• Build professional long-term relationships with customers based on trust that builds the brand
• Collect and interrogate information and feedback to ensure full understanding of customer needs to deliver a quality service
• Deliver service that exceeds customer expectations through proactive, innovative and appropriate solution selection and application
• Provide customers with relevant information to keep them informed of products and service options
• Develop, encourage and nurture collaborative relationships across area of specialisation
• Develop integrated business analyses and projections for incorporation into strategic decision-making
• Perform reviews and analysis of current processes using operational metrics and reports within set timelines
• Provide recommendations to other business analysts with supporing documentation and/or benchmarks to optimise own process
• Partner with Business Analyst Manager to run workshops elicit analyse, validate and document business organisational and/or operational requirements Instruct, advise, direct and quality assure projects for the business unit/product house
• Identify potential project risks whilst gathering business requirents to ensure the successful completion of a project
• Liaise with other project areas to co-ordinate interdependencies and resolve issues
• Collaborate with business to prioritise and rationalise projects/ initiatives
• Provide status updates to relevant stakeholders
• Ensure due diligence is undertaken prior, during and post project implementation
• Innovate by finding the best fit solution for the situation such as the flexibility of delivery and customised solutions which result in more efficient outcomes
