Job summary

Bidvest Tank Terminals invites applications for an Operations Supervisor based in Isando, reporting to the Terminal Manager. The role oversees all operational activities to ensure safe, effective handling of bulk liquids in line with customer specifications.

Qualifications

Operations/Production/Engineering Diploma.
Minimum 5 years operational experience.
Minimum 3 years’ supervisory experience.
Experience in chemical/petrochemical environment advantageous.
Experience in Bulk Liquid Storage Facility/ Terminal Operations.
Experience in unionized environment.
Good understanding of SHEQ systems (OSHASA 18001, ISO14001, ISO9001).

Responsibilities

Supervise all operational activities per Bidvest Tank Terminals standards and procedures to ensure safe, efficient bulk liquids handling.
Identify and address gaps in SOPs/WIs and other procedures.
Ensure operations equipment is optimised for efficiency and safety; conduct investigations and write reports.
Complete site walkabouts, monitor loading/offloading, transfers, and housekeeping.
Ensure permits to work are issued to Maintenance/Projects and handover instructions are clear.
