RPO Recruitment’s client, a reputable building contractor in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town, seeks a qualified Site Manager/Agent to lead daily site operations and hit project milestones.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong knowledge of building processes and safety standards, and the ability to manage subcontractors and timelines while maintaining quality and efficiency. The successful candidate will work with suppliers and labour ensuring compliance with SANS codes.

Qualifications

• BTech in Construction Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as Site Agent/Site Manager.
• Strong knowledge of building processes, SANS codes, and health & safety regulations.
• Ability to manage subcontractors, labour and suppliers.
• Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office; project management software beneficial.
• Valid driver’s licence and own transport.
• Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English.

The Site Agent/Site Manager will oversee daily site operations, ensure project milestones are achieved, and maintain high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage subcontractors, resources, and timelines effectively.

Requirements

• BTech in Construction Management or similar
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Site Agent or Site Manager role within the building construction sector
• Strong knowledge of building processes, SANS codes, and health & safety regulations
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors, labour, and suppliers
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with project management software beneficial
• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport
