Job summary

Johnson Controls in Durban is seeking a Service Engineer to join our building automation service team. You will perform service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on BMS and control systems to ensure reliable operation for our customers.

You will use diagnostic tools, document service activities, and work with team leaders to deliver efficient solutions while following safety procedures. A diploma or degree in Electrical/Automation/Mechatronics and a valid driver’s license are required,

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Experience with BMS, HVAC controls, automation, or industrial control systems.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally.

Responsibilities

• Perform service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on BMS and control systems.
• Diagnose and resolve system faults to ensure reliable customer operations.
• Conduct planned and corrective maintenance at customer sites.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and comply with safety procedures.
