Job summary

Morton Moore Pty Ltd is seeking a Portfolio Manager / Broker Consultant in Randburg to manage and grow an independent broker portfolio in the Johannesburg region. The role blends sales with relationship management to drive profitable premium growth while maintaining underwriting quality and service standards.

The ideal candidate will be commercially driven, field-based, and able to build lasting partnerships with brokers and internal teams. Full training and ongoing product updates are provided.

Qualifications

Matric/Grade 12 is essential.
FAIS qualification (NQF4/5) required by FAIS.
RE5 regulatory examination completed.

Responsibilities

Manage, service and grow an allocated portfolio of independent brokers and corporate brokerages within the region.
Achieve and exceed new business and retention targets across short-term insurance products.
Schedule and conduct regular broker appointments (in-person and virtual).
Educate brokers on value proposition, offerings, underwriting appetite and strategy.
Identify portfolio gaps and cross-sell opportunities.
