About the Role

This critical role involves the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of sophisticated broadcast equipment and systems. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of live broadcasts, studio productions, and transmission operations. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of broadcast technology, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of technical quality in a fast-paced media environment.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain broadcast equipment, including cameras, switchers, audio consoles, and transmission systems.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system performance and minimize downtime.
Monitor broadcast feeds and equipment status, identifying and resolving technical issues proactively.
Support live production events, ensuring seamless technical execution from studio to transmission.
Collaborate with production teams to meet their technical requirements for various shows and programs.
Stay up-to-date with advancements in broadcast technology and recommend upgrades or new solutions.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Broadcast Engineer or in a similar technical role within the media industry.
Strong knowledge of video, audio, and transmission systems, including SDI, IP, and RF technologies.
Proficiency with broadcast automation systems and signal flow.
Ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems under pressure.
Relevant certifications in broadcast engineering or electronics are advantageous.
Strong understanding of IT networking principles as they apply to broadcast infrastructure.
