Job summary

The South African Breweries in Durban seeks a qualified Instrumentation and Control technician to optimize/process control systems. You will work with production teams to resolve quality equipment issues and participate in plant improvement projects.

Responsibilities include calibration, maintenance, spare part planning, SOPs, SAP/Excel analysis, and PLC troubleshooting. The role requires N6/National Diploma and Trade Test in Instrumentation and Control, with 3+ years of instrumentation

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years instrumentation equipment maintenance and PLC experience advantageous.
N6/National Diploma and Trade Test Qualification in Instrumentation and Control required.
Experience with calibration, set up, and complex component replacements preferred.

Responsibilities

Interacts daily with production teams to resolve quality equipment related problems.
Assists in the implementation of plant and process improvement projects.
Standby duties – be available for call out when required.
Carries out specialised maintenance work in quality equipment – calibration and setup, complex component replacement.
Ensures availability of specified critical spares and recommendations on maintenance regimes.
Develop and maintain equipment performance reports (ERI) and SOPs/SWIs in Acadia.
