Job summary

IZI South Africa is seeking a Branch Officer (Senior/Management level) in Newcastle to support the Branch Manager with security operations. You will help implement security policies, oversee security staff, and ensure procedures are followed to protect assets and staff.

The role requires a proactive, results-driven mindset with a clear understanding of security’s role in a successful business unit and alignment to company values.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent and PSIRA Grade B with CIT.
• Firearm competency: handgun and shotgun for business purposes.
• Clear credit and criminal record; not a director of any business.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Job Introduction: Branch Security Officer (Senior / Management level)

IZI South Africa, a leading provider of integrated cash management solutions, has a vacancy for Branch Officer in Newcastle.

The Branch Officer would be assisting the Branch Manager by maintaining effective branch security and ensuring that standard security operating procedures are adhered to by all relevant staff.

The successful incumbent is a self-starter with a proven track record in maintaining company policy, adopting best practices, and is able to exercise sound judgement in the pursuit of the achievement of the goals of the organisation, and understanding the role which Security plays within a successful business unit. The incumbent will be expected to be results driven and to live the values of the organisation

Main Responsibilities

• Establishing security policies: Enforce policies to ensure the safety of assets and employees.


• Managing security personnel


• Ensuring compliance: Ensure adherence to security regulations and standards.


• Investigating Incidents: Investigate theft, vandalism and other security breaches.


• Communicating policies to employees, customers and suppliers about security procedures.


• Emergency response: Handle security breaches and crises


• Audits and assessments: Regularly audit and assess security procedures and systems.
