Job summary

Sanlam Developing Markets (SDM), a subsidiary of Sanlam Life Limited, is seeking a Branch-based Sales Advisor to promote SRM products, deliver financial advice, and support client servicing in the Western Cape. You will build relationships, understand clients’ needs, and cross-sell value-added services while adhering to regulatory requirements.

You will maintain product knowledge, manage client portfolios, and ensure timely follow-ups and payments.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12)
• RE5 advantageous
• FAIS Compliant (Wealth Management) as per DOFA requirements.
• Class of Business training (to be completed within 12-months of employment)

Responsibilities

• Sales delivery
• Gain and maintain an in-depth understanding of SRM product ranges.
• Understand customer needs and provide suitable products that meet financial goals.
• Continuously update customers on new products or changes; manage portfolio implications.
• Validate client details per product and regulatory requirements; submit new business.
• Conduct due diligence on clients to identify risks.
• Manage appointments and walk-in clients with priority.
• In-branch client service and retention: service all client profiles, send reminders, follow-ups, and address queries.
• Assess client risk profiles and advise on alternative payment arrangements.
• Handle policy cancellations and provide alternatives; escalate queries as needed.
• Maintain compliance, CPD, and documentation to inform reporting and decisions.
• Monthly planning and reporting; meet weekly/monthly deadlines and perform ad-hoc tasks.

Education

Matric (Grade 12)
