Job summary

The FirstRand Bank (FNB) branch is seeking a Branch Advisor to deliver compliant, professional financial guidance in a high-volume environment.

You will build long-term client relationships, educate clients on the right banking channels, and achieve sales and service targets while upholding FAIS and TCF standards.

You will manage client records, stay updated on product knowledge, and work with a dynamic team to grow the local market as a brand ambassador.

Qualifications

• Minimum NQF Level 5 Certificate in Banking, Business Administration, Customer Service, or related fields recognized by FAIS
• 1–3 years of experience in customer-facing environments, service delivery, or client support within financial services

Responsibilities

• Build and manage long-term client relationships to support retention and growth
• Provide a positive customer experience by being helpful and sensitive to customer transactional needs and expectations
• Educate customers on the correct Banking platform aligned with their needs
• Connect with customers by living up to the brand promise of ‘how can we help you?’
• Analyze customer data and provide appropriate financial advice and solutions aligned to client financial goals and FAIS requirements
• Maintain accurate and complete client records and documentation
• Achieve individual and branch sales and service targets
• Conduct yourself in an ethical manner
• Take accountability for your own performance and professional development
• Show empathy to customers
• Stay updated on industry trends and product knowledge
• Manage leads, referrals, and client follow-ups within agreed turnaround times
