Job summary

Robertson Winery in Robertson (Western Cape) is seeking a skilled Bottling Technician to join our maintenance team. You will be responsible for the smooth operation and preventative maintenance of all bottling line machinery, perform breakdown maintenance, and actively minimise downtime to drive production efficiency.

The ideal candidate holds an N4 Mechanical qualification (Fitter/Turner) or equivalent, with about 5 years’ experience in a FMCG/Food/Bottling environment.

Qualifications

• N4 Mechanical qualification (Fitter/Turner) or equivalent.
• Approximately 5 years of relevant experience in an FMCG/Food/Bottling environment.
• Strong understanding of bottling line machinery (steriliser, filler, capper, blower, labeller, strapper, conveyors).

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative maintenance and attend to breakdowns.
• Ensure all machines and systems are ready for production.
• Provide technical assistance and training to operators on production line machinery.
• Perform technical adjustments to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
• Maintain accurate job cards and maintenance check sheets.
• Report breakdowns and maintenance issues to the Maintenance Manager.
• Ensure adherence to safety, health, and HACCP procedures.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Participate in continuous personal and technical development programs.
