Qualifications

• Relevant trade qualification for the role.
• At least 5 years of technical experience in a similar role, including productivity and staff management.
• Experience in FMCG/Food/Bottling industry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanics, electromechanics, automation, instrumentation, controls, and tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in Afrikaans and English.
• Advanced computer literacy (MS Office).

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with health & safety and food safety policies and procedures.
• Manage staff effectively.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs and troubleshooting.
• Prepare technical reports and maintain records.
• Provide technical support and promote best operating practices.
• Order spare parts as needed and implement modifications.
• Handle all other tasks related to the position.

Robertson Winery (Pty) Ltd., has an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual to join their team based in Robertson as Combi Bloc Technician/Millwright.

The successful candidate has well-developed technical and mechanical skills, paired with strong problem-solving, analytical & logical thinking capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with health & safety and food safety policies & procedures
• Effective management of staff
• Ensure all required inspections, repairs, preventative maintenance, or troubleshooting is done
• Preparing technical reports
• Recordkeeping
• Supporting staff regarding technical problems and machine best operating practices
• Ordering of spare parts when required and according to company policies
• Installation of modifications when required
• all other tasks related to the position.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience

• A relevant Trade Qualification;
• 5 years’ relevant technical experience in a similar role, including productivity- and staff management;
• Experience in the FMCG/Food/Bottling industry highly preferred;
• Advanced knowledge and understanding of how related items work, as well as how to use different tools (e.g. Pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanics, electromechanics, automation, instrumentation, controls, and tools)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Afrikaans and English;
• Advanced computer literacy skills (MS Office).
