Job summary

Exceed HR and Recruitment is seeking a Bookkeeper/ Financial Administrator for a permanent role based in Constantia, Cape Town. You will manage day-to-day bookkeeping across multiple entities and coordinate with external accountants.

The role requires a qualification in bookkeeping/accounting/finance and at least 3 years of experience, with strong Excel and financial controls. Based in Cape Town with on-site work.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Bookkeeping, Accounting, or Finance.
• Minimum of 3 years' bookkeeping experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and financial administration across multiple entities.
• Process and reconcile transactions between Xero, banking platforms, and POS systems.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, supplier invoices, customer invoicing, and reconciliations.
• Process journals, payroll, VAT, EMP201, petty cash, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly management reports and assist with month-end/year-end processes.
• Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and service providers.
• Maintain accurate financial records and provide general finance administration support.
