GAS Accounting in Sandton is seeking an experienced bookkeeper to join our production team. You'll manage the full bookkeeping cycle for a portfolio of clients, from gathering source documents to delivering accurate, review-ready management accounts.

This is a fast-paced, deadline-driven role with real career growth into Senior Bookkeeper, Accountant and Account Manager positions, with ongoing study support.

Formación

• 5+ years' bookkeeping experience in an accounting practice or multi-client environment.
• Experience reviewing management accounts and preparing reports.
• Experience with Xero, Sage and Pastel; knowledge of Dext/Hubdoc/Karbon is advantageous.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.

Responsabilidades

• Complete monthly bank and supplier reconciliations.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and payroll journal processing.

You'll manage the full bookkeeping cycle for a portfolio of clients, from gathering source documents to delivering accurate, review-ready management accounts. This is a fast-paced, deadline-driven role with real career growth into Senior Bookkeeper, Accountant and Account Manager positions, and we support ongoing study.

Key responsibilities

• Collect client records and follow up on outstanding information
• Process transactions and VAT in Xero across multiple clients
• Complete monthly bank and supplier reconciliations
• Maintain fixed asset registers and process payroll journals
• Clean up and catch up incomplete historical records
• Prepare books for management accounts and year-end handover

Requirements

• 5+ years' bookkeeping experience in an accounting practice or multi-client environment, managing 16 to 22 sets of books
• Tertiary qualification in bookkeeping or accounting
• Experience on Xero, Sage and Pastel; Dext, Hubdoc and Karbon advantageous
• Strong Excel skills
• Ability to review and analyse management accounts
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure
