Dante Personnel Recruitment (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Junior Legal Bookkeeper in Johannesburg. The role focuses on trust and business accounting within a law firm, ensuring accuracy and strict month-end processes.

You will work with legal accounting systems and Excel, supporting senior staff while developing expertise in legal practice accounting controls and reconciliations.

• Relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualification required.

Junior Legal Bookkeeper

Experience in law firm

Minimum requirements:

• Relevant bookkeeping / accounting qualification.
• less than 5 years’ bookkeeping experience, preferably within a law firm or legal practice.
• Proven experience with trust and business accounting in an attorneys’ practice.
• Experience with legal accounting systems such as Practice Manager Pro (PMPro), LegalSuite, AJS, GhostPractice, or similar will be advantageous.
• Strong Excel and general accounting software proficiency.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong knowledge of legal practice accounting controls and reconciliations
• Excellent numerical and analytical ability
• Sound organisational and time-management skills
• Ability to meet strict month-end and compliance deadlines
