At DLK Group, we believe that the right people make a difference to how we work, support one another and deliver to our clients.

We're looking for an experienced, organised and hands-on Bookkeeper to join our Finance team.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, takes pride in getting things right and is comfortable taking ownership of their work. You'll work closely with our Accountant and Finance Director, supporting the day-to-day financial operations of an established ICT consulting business.

We're looking for someone who brings experience, initiative and a willingness to get involved wherever the team needs support.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, including invoices, payments, receipts and journal entries.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger accounts.
  • Manage debtors and creditors, including reconciliations and following up on outstanding payments.
  • Complete bank, supplier and account reconciliations.
  • Review consultant timesheets, invoices, agreed rates and supporting documentation to ensure accurate billing and payments.
  • Track client purchase orders, contract values and available balances.
  • Prepare payment schedules for contractors, suppliers and other business expenses.
  • Support month-end and year-end financial processes, reporting and audit preparation.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation on our internal systems.
  • Assist with financial reports and provide information to support management decisions.
  • Support and guide Finance Administrators, helping the team meet deadlines and maintain accurate records.
  • Step in to assist with finance administration when needed and provide operational support in the Accountant's absence.
  • Identify discrepancies, resolve routine queries and help improve financial processes.
Requirements
  • A relevant qualification in Finance, Accounting or Bookkeeping.
  • At least 5 years' practical bookkeeping and finance experience.
  • Strong experience in debtors, creditors, reconciliations, journals and general ledger management.
  • Practical experience with Xero or similar accounting software.
  • Good Microsoft Excel skills and a sound understanding of accounting principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Someone who is organised, reliable and comfortable managing multiple deadlines.
  • The confidence to work independently, solve problems and communicate with different stakeholders.
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to support the broader Finance team.

It would be an advantage if you have:

  • Experience using Xero, Zoho People or SharePoint.
  • Experience working in an ICT consulting, professional services or project-based business.
  • Experience guiding or coordinating junior finance staff.
What We Offer
  • An initial 3-month fixed-term contract , with the possibility of extension based on business requirements and performance.
  • A supportive and collaborative working environment.
  • Exposure to different areas of finance within an ICT consulting business.
  • The opportunity to contribute ideas, improve processes and take ownership of your work.
  • Professional development and opportunities to broaden your experience.
  • A team that values accountability, initiative and working together.
Why Join DLK?

At DLK Group, we're building a workplace where our people feel supported, take ownership of their work and contribute to the success of the business.

You'll join a collaborative Finance team where your experience and ideas are valued. You'll have the opportunity to work across different areas of finance, strengthen your skills and contribute to how we manage and support our business.

We are looking for someone who wants to do more than process transactions — someone who understands how good financial management supports our people, our clients and the success of the business.

If you're an experienced Bookkeeper who enjoys taking ownership, working with people and being part of a team, we'd love to hear from you.
