Job summary

adidas is seeking a Stockroom Operations Associate in Johannesburg to support flagship stockroom practices and maximize product flow between stockroom, back-of-house, and sales floor. You will help ensure accurate deliveries, maintain stock protection procedures, and contribute to efficient inventory processes in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires 2–4 years of retail stockroom experience and a Matric Certificate, with strong numeracy, literacy, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of store sales and KPI targets; own them and use resources to meet or exceed.

• Model stockroom operations; ensure deliveries are quick and accurate while protecting stock.
• Conduct weekly cycle counts and resolve negatives with management approval.

Purpose & Overall Relevance For The Organization

• Contribute to maximizing the profitability of the the store by supporting the Stockroom Operational needs and delivering a Flagship Stockroom Model for our Consumers:
• To maintaining an effective and organized stockroom and logistical environment
• To executes store operations with particular focus on product flow to and from the store, sales floor and back of house

Key Responsibilities

• Be aware of store sales and KPI targets, as well as individual performance targets, take ownership over them and effectively use all available store resources to meet or exceed them
• Use retail and commercial expertise to maximize sales opportunities by prioritizing merchandise flow to the sales floor
• Use BI Report to prioritize Top sellers and Black Hole to drive BOH productivity and fast pace to push product to the floor
• Be a role model for stockroom operations and complete deliveries quickly and accurately while adhering to stock protection procedures
• Do weekly cycle count to resolve negatives on weekly report with management approval.
• Accurately record and manage all inter-store and warehouse inventory movement and do this in a timely manner and ensure all shipments received posted, all inbound resolved and handle all discrepancies accordingly.
• Monitor BOH schedule/planner VS shipments delivery schedule collaborates with management
• Ensure adequate supplies to create an effective stockroom environment and continually maintain this (including all merchandise) within and around the vicinity
• Comply with store policies and procedures to maintain a safe shopping and working environment
• Identify improvement opportunities and communicate suggestions to store management to drive commercial success
• Guide and train selected members of the store team on basic stockroom processes and behaviors
• Collaborate productively and respectfully with team members
• Make yourself available to support other team members when needed
• Complete all applicable training programs and effectively apply the learning on the job
• Seek coaching and learning opportunities to continually improve your performance

Requisite Education And Experience

• 2 - 4 years of retail experience and commercial- focused retail environment with stockroom knowledge experience, with a retail industry understanding
• Intermediate numeracy and literacy and advanced verbal communication skills
