Formación

About the Role

Our client, a leading IT consultancy firm, is looking for a highly skilled Blockchain Solutions Architect to design and implement blockchain-based solutions for enterprise clients. This role, based in Polokwane, Limpopo , will involve working with businesses across various industries to leverage blockchain technology for improved security, transparency, and efficiency. You will be responsible for understanding client needs, architecting robust and scalable blockchain solutions, and guiding development teams through the implementation process. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced architect with a deep understanding of blockchain technologies and enterprise systems to make a significant impact. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong technical acumen and excellent communication skills, capable of bridging the gap between business requirements and technical execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to understand their business challenges and identify opportunities for blockchain integration.
• Design comprehensive blockchain solutions, including architecture, technology stack selection, and integration strategies.
• Develop proof-of-concepts and proofs-of-technology to validate architectural approaches.
• Define best practices for blockchain development, deployment, and governance.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate blockchain platforms (e.g., Hyperledger Fabric, Ethereum, Corda) and tools.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and meet client performance requirements.
• Prepare and present technical designs and proposals to clients and stakeholders in Polokwane .
• Stay current with emerging blockchain trends and technologies.
• Mentor junior architects and developers on blockchain solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in IT architecture and solution design, with a minimum of 3 years focused on blockchain technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of various blockchain platforms (public, private, consortium) and their underlying technologies.
• Experience with enterprise systems integration, APIs, and middleware.
• Strong understanding of distributed ledger technology, smart contracts, and consensus mechanisms.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their integration capabilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value.
• Experience in leading technical teams and driving project delivery.
