Job summary

Leading medical device company is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join the Western Cape team. The ideal candidate has experience with infusion therapy or dialysis equipment and a strong background in electrical and biomedical systems.

The role is based in the Western Cape, a full-time permanent position requiring extensive travel within South Africa and SADC. Strong problem-solving, planning and customer-service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, planning, and time management skills.
• Experience with medical equipment and biomedical devices preferred.
• Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and device drawings.
• Registration with CEASA advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, disinfect, test and evaluate AIS medical equipment at customer sites.
• Perform preventative maintenance, software installations and electrical safety testing per CoE standards.
• Diagnose faults and implement corrective actions for reliability.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, inspections, repairs, and failures.
• Provide technical support and training to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Schedule service activities per service matrix and attend callouts.
• Manage availability of back-up equipment and stock; submit monthly service reports.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, regulatory and company standards.
• Assist with additional duties as required by management.
