Job summary

Assegai Recruitment is seeking a BIM Modeller for a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy to support civil and electrical drawings, models, and digital design outputs across renewable energy, transmission, distribution, and infrastructure projects.

You will produce accurate drawings and models using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit, coordinate with engineers and multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to BIM processes and continuous improvement across feasibility to construction stages.

Job description

A multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is looking for a BIM Modeller to support the delivery of civil and electrical engineering drawings, models and digital design outputs across renewable energy, transmission, distribution and wider infrastructure projects.

This role offers exposure to a varied portfolio of projects, including solar PV, battery energy storage systems (BESS), wind energy developments, substations, transmission lines and underground cable infrastructure. You will work alongside engineers, BIM specialists and multidisciplinary project teams from feasibility and concept design through to detailed design and construction support.

You will be responsible for producing accurate, coordinated and high-quality engineering drawings and models while supporting effective digital project delivery.

The position requires a strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Revit, together with an understanding of BIM processes and the ability to work across multiple engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain civil and electrical engineering drawings, models and associated project documentation.
• Support renewable energy, transmission, distribution and infrastructure projects through different stages of design.
• Develop drawings and models using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Revit.
• Work closely with engineers, BIM team members and other disciplines to ensure coordinated design outputs.
• Review and self-check drawings, models and documentation for accuracy, completeness and coordination before issue.
• Identify and resolve drawing, modelling and multidisciplinary coordination issues.
• Ensure project outputs comply with applicable project standards, procedures and document-control requirements.
• Maintain accurate design records and project documentation.
• Meet agreed project deadlines and support efficient delivery of assigned work.
• Apply BIM, CAD and other digital tools effectively throughout project delivery.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of BIM, CAD and digital design processes.
• Participate in knowledge sharing and continue developing technical and digital modelling capability.
• Relevant experience producing engineering drawings and BIM models within a consulting engineering, infrastructure or similar technical environment.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of Civil 3D and Revit.
• Understanding of BIM and multidisciplinary design coordination.
• Ability to produce accurate, well-coordinated drawings and models.\
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to self-check work before formal review or issue.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage assigned deliverables and work to project deadlines.
