Placements24 is seeking a skilled BIM Coordinator for a remote-friendly contract role based near Rustenburg, North West. You will develop BIM standards, coordinate multidisciplinary models, and drive clash detection and data integrity across projects.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in BIM coordination, proficiency in Revit/Navisworks/Solibri, and strong communication. Experience with BEPs and remote team collaboration is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of BIM coordination experience focusing on architectural projects.
• Strong understanding of BIM standards, protocols and workflows (ISO 19650).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate remotely.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
• Familiarity with SA construction industry practices is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement BIM standards, protocols, and workflows for architectural projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and enforcing BIM standards, coordinating models, and facilitating collaboration among multidisciplinary teams. Requirements

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in BIM coordination, with a strong focus on architectural projects.
• Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, and Solibri Model Checker.
• Solid understanding of BIM standards, protocols, and workflows (e.g., ISO 19650).
• Experience with clash detection and issue resolution processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
• Familiarity with South African construction industry practices is advantageous.
• Experience with Dynamo or other scripting/automation tools is a plus.
