The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Architecture and 4+ years of BIM coordination experience, with strong Revit and Navisworks skills.

About the Role

Our client, a prominent architectural and engineering consultancy operating across various sectors, is seeking a diligent and technically proficient Architectural BIM Coordinator to join their project team in Upington, Northern Cape . This role is crucial for ensuring the effective implementation and management of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes throughout the project lifecycle. You will be responsible for coordinating BIM models from various disciplines, facilitating clash detection, and ensuring adherence to project BIM standards and protocols. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical understanding of BIM software and workflows, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, and construction teams. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate BIM models developed by different architectural and engineering disciplines.
• Implement and manage project-specific BIM execution plans.
• Conduct regular clash detection analysis using Navisworks or similar software and report findings.
• Ensure models comply with the firm's and project-specific BIM standards and content libraries.
• Assist in the creation and management of BIM templates and families.
• Collaborate with project teams to resolve model-related issues and facilitate efficient communication.
• Support architects and engineers in utilizing BIM for design development, documentation, and coordination.
• Manage the transfer of models between different project phases and software platforms.
• Provide technical support and guidance to project team members on BIM software and processes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date BIM project documentation.

Requirements

• A National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in BIM coordination, preferably within an architectural or multi-disciplinary consultancy.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit is essential.
• Experience with Autodesk Navisworks for clash detection and model aggregation.
• Understanding of BIM standards, protocols, and workflows (e.g., LOD requirements).
• Familiarity with other relevant software such as AutoCAD is beneficial.
