Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proficient BIM Architect for projects across Port Elizabeth. You will develop and implement BIM standards, create and manage complex 3D BIM models, and coordinate with engineers to resolve clashes, ensuring accurate documentation and effective design coordination.

The role requires a B.Arch or B.Tech, 5+ years in architectural practice with 3+ years in BIM, and expert Revit/Navisworks skills. Hybrid work and ongoing access to BIM tools are provided.

Qualifications

• B.Arch or B.Tech in Architecture or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5 years in architectural practice with at least 3 years BIM implementation.
• Expert proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Navisworks with BIM protocols (ISO 19650).
• Experience with Dynamo, AutoCAD, and rendering engines.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage BIM standards, templates, and workflows for architectural projects.
• Create and manage complex 3D BIM models, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to project requirements.
• Coordinate BIM models with structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers, resolving clashes and conflicts.
• Extract information from BIM models for quantity take-offs, scheduling, and reporting.
• Provide training and technical support to architectural staff on BIM software and best practices.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure effective utilization of BIM throughout the project lifecycle.
