Job summary

Hire Resolve is seeking an experienced BI Developer to design, implement, and maintain BI solutions in Durban, KZN. The role focuses on transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights and supporting strategic decisions across cross-functional teams.

You will design data models, build ETL processes, and develop dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView, while ensuring data quality and governance. This opportunity offers growth within the analytics function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience as a BI Developer or in a similar data-focused role.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating data.
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView.
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools like SSIS, Talend, or Informatica.
• Strong knowledge of database management systems (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Data warehousing knowledge including star and snowflake schemas.
• Basic scripting experience (Python) for data processing and automation.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data models, ETL processes, and BI reports aligned with business objectives.
• Integrate data from various sources into a centralized data warehouse.
• Develop interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, QlikView).
• Analyze large datasets to uncover trends and insights to inform decisions.
• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to translate data requirements into BI solutions.
• Monitor and optimize BI system performance and data processing.
• Automate generation and distribution of reports for real-time data access.
• Ensure data governance, quality, security, and integrity.
